Second day back to the new chiropractor… focus still consumed by my physical state, but mind much calmer. still, small moments of panic when moving too quickly and being sharply reminded of my limitations, and, constant pain is exhausting. this beautiful sculpture work surrounding a doorway along Pacific Avenue on my route was a pretty distraction…01-May22-2015

Tried my best to let go enough to let Doctor G do the adjustments he wanted to my lower back, but my overprotective subconscious kept kicking in at the last second and tensing everything up. Insides feel like…

Stopped by a friend’s house on the way home; she made us tea and gave me a gift…

Just make it to the next street corner, and across the intersections before the light changes back (Dear cars, I swear I’m going as fast as I can. I swear!)…

Finally, feeling victorious at making it the whole way home, exhausted, ice packs strapped on, laying down flat for the foreseeable rest of the day (getting up takes a few minutes and some planning), slightly delirious:

I followed about the same route on the 21st and the 22nd… 6 miles! Not bad for someone who tried sleeping in her loft bed the night before but got stuck and wasn’t sure she could get back out for about 20 minutes! And who still can’t put on her own socks… almost there…
